a licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work from McMaster University, Hamilton Ontario.
I am post graduate trained in Sensorimotor Art Therapy, Play Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectic Behavior Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, a powerful modality for healing emotional and physical trauma. As a bilingual clinician, I also provide therapy in French.
I have been deeply interested in well-being and healing. I earned my first degree in dramatic arts, where I developed a particular interest in the therapeutic benefits of drama therapy. During this time, I was supporting a loved one who was suffering serious mental health and emotional difficulties, which deepened my interest in healing modalities. With now more than twenty years of clinical social work and psychotherapy experience across a diverse range of clients, I work with individuals, children, adolescents and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, divorce, grief, mood disorders, mind -body symptoms, and the multifaceted challenges that arise across the human lifespan.
within a strengths-based, anti-oppressive culturally informed framework, I draw from a broad repertoire of evidence-based modalities to tailor services to each client’s distinct needs. I am recognized for cultivating a therapeutic environment that is safe, inclusive, emotionally attuned, and that honors the complexity of every individual’s lived experience.
